2008 Chardonnay Reserve

An artfully balanced Chardonnay, styled after the classic Montrachet wines from Burgundy. Full bodied, with fine overtones of oak, it has a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a long, smooth finish. Blonde, beautiful and elegant — reminiscent of Lauren Bacall.

This Chardonnay is a blend from two spectacular vineyard sources in Mendocino — one farmed by our neighbor to the north and the other being the highly acclaimed Talmage Vineyard, located just south and east of Ukiah.

Méthode: Once harvested, the grapes underwent indigenous yeast fermentation. The wine was aged in one-year-old Francois Ferrer barrels with malolactic fermentation stopped at 50%. While it is perfect for drinking now, we have crafted it in a manner that will enable it to cellar for many years.
